TVTA (Tees Valley Tourism Alliance C.I.C.) is a destination management and marketing agency; a private partnership supported by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) working with private sector partner organisations across the Tees Valley and wider region.
We have a board offering expertise from a range of sectors and professions. Our goal is to work with a wide range of partners, stakeholders and businesses, who share our ambition to inspire people to visit, live, learn, work and invest in the Tees Valley.
In short, the Tees Valley Tourism Alliance C.I.C is a group of like-minded businesses, passionate about our area, working in partnership to improve the quality of the tourism experience for visitors and locals alike. Our marketing & communications work to promote and position the Tees Valley as a visitor destination and a business tourism destination, through targeted campaigns.
Our business destination management uses local knowledge and expertise to help organise conferences, meetings and events in the Tees Valley and the surrounding area. We promote business around the Tees Valley by several means including venue sourcing, promoting networking events and accommodation reservations.
Our visitor information helps ensure visitors have the best possible experience when they are here, providing information and support from tourism partners. We are providing a platform to promote Tees Valley and to improve everyone’s experience of being a customer at our hotels, shops, restaurants, visitor attractions, car parks – everywhere!
We want to improve everyone’s experience of the Tees Valley, bring changes to things that need it and to represent the visitor by listening to what they tell us we could do better, or even what new things we could offer in the near future. When visitors tell us what they like or dislike about our region, they can feel confident there are a group of people prepared to listen to them (and speak up on their behalf!)
The TVTA will lobby on our visitors’ behalf, anything that has impressed, pleased or frustrated them, such as public toilets, seating areas, local residents, friendliness, journey, parking facilities, public transport, signage/ directions, etc. The information will improve our overall performance and continual growth to help us develop new ideas for the future to the betterment of local residents.
